Reed Migraine Centers is not your typical doctor’s office. We know the Reed Procedure℠  is not the best option for all migraine and headache sufferers, but we still want to help you find relief. We have compiled this list of resources we hope you will find helpful.

American Headache Society (AHS) Committee for Headache Education (ACHE): ACHE is a nonprofit patient-health professional partnership dedicated to advancing the treatment and management of patients with headaches. ACHE serves as an educational resource for health care providers who seek patient information materials, tools, and resources to help educate and support their patients and their families who are affected by disabling headaches. These educational materials also may be useful to health policy makers, employers, opinion leaders, schools and families of headache sufferers.

The American Migraine Foundation: The American Migraine Foundation is a nonprofit foundation supported by the American Headache Society and generous donors dedicated to the advancement of migraine research. The mission of this newly formed foundation is to support innovative research that will lead to improvement in the lives of those who suffer from migraines and other disabling headaches.

eMedicineHealth: eMedicineHealth.com is a consumer health information site that was launched in May 2003. The site contains over 900 health and medical articles written by physicians for patients and consumers.

FamilyDoctor.org: This website is operated by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), a national medical organization representing more than 100,300 family physicians, family practice residents and medical students. All of the information on this site has been written and reviewed by physicians and patient education professionals at the AAFP.

International Headache Society: The International Headache Society is the world’s leading membership organization for those with a professional commitment to helping people affected by headache.

KidsHealth.org: TeensHealth is part of the KidsHealth family of websites. These sites, run by the nonprofit Nemours Center for Children's Health Media, provide accurate, up-to-date health information that's free of "doctor speak.” A team of pediatricians and other medical experts reviews all KidsHealth content regularly to ensure the information is as current as possible.

Mayo Clinic: Mayo Clinic is a nonprofit worldwide leader in medical care, research and education for people from all walks of life. Doctors from every medical specialty work together to care for patients, joined by common systems and a philosophy of "the needs of the patient come first."

MedLinePlus: MedlinePlus is the National Institutes of Health's website for patients, their families and friends. Produced by the National Library of Medicine, it brings together information about diseases, conditions and wellness issues in language easy to understand.

Migraine.com: Migraine.com empowers patients and caregivers to take control of migraine disease by providing a platform to learn, educate, and connect with peers and healthcare professionals. Content is written by professional medical writers and published only after review by board-certified neurologists. Its independent editorial board is composed of practicing physicians with expertise in treating headaches and migraine disease. In addition to original content, Migraine.com also encourages individuals touched by migraine disease to share their experiences with the community and welcomes questions, comments and suggestions.

Migraine Research Foundation: The Migraine Research Foundation was founded in 2006 as the only nonprofit organization dedicated to funding migraine research in the United States. Assisting MRF is a distinguished Medical Advisory Board that includes leading neurologists and scientists from across the country.

MyChronicMigraine.com: MyChronicMigraine.com was developed by Allergan, Inc., to help educate people affected by Chronic Migraine about the condition and appropriate treatment options. Allergan is a multispecialty healthcare company focused on discovering, developing, and commercializing innovative pharmaceuticals, biologics, and medical devices that enable people to live life to its greatest potential—to see more clearly, move more freely, and express themselves more fully.

National Headache Foundation: Over the past 42 years, the National Headache Foundation’s mission has been to further awareness of headaches and migraines as legitimate neurobiological diseases. NHR understands these diseases are still largely misunderstood and finding the right treatment options requires nuanced and adaptable insight.

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke: The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) conducts and supports research on brain and nervous system disorders. Created by the U.S. Congress in 1950, NINDS is one of the more than two dozen research institutes and centers that comprise the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

PubMedHealth: PubMed Health specializes in reviews of clinical effectiveness research, with easy-to-read summaries for consumers, as well as full technical reports. Clinical effectiveness research finds answers to the question “What works?” in medical and health care. PubMed Health is a service provided by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM).

WebMD: WebMD provides credible information, supportive communities and in-depth reference material about health subjects. They are a source for original and timely health information as well as material from well known content providers. The WebMD content staff blends award-winning expertise in journalism, content creation, community services, expert commentary and medical review to give users a variety of ways to find what they are looking for.

WomensHealth.gov: The Office on Women's Health's (OWH) mission is to provide leadership to promote health equity for women and girls through sex/gender-specific approaches. OWH achieves its mission and vision by developing innovative programs, educating health professionals and motivating behavior change in consumers through the dissemination of health information.
