Dr. Glaser received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical doctorate from Indiana University School of Medicine in Terre Haut. He completed his anesthesia residency and fellowship at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago and has been treating pain in private practice since 1990. Dr. Glaser is board-certified in anesthesiology and interventional pain management.
Dr. Glaser is a distinguished leader on the state and national level, and a teacher who trains fellow pain specialists in spinal injection and other minimally invasive spinal procedures. He lobbied to ensure passage of the NASPER bill in 2005, a law that is instrumental in fighting prescription drug abuse while maintaining access to appropriate care. Additionally, he recently spoke at the 9th Annual Orthopedic, Spine and Pain Management-Driven ASC Conference as well as the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and he serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Dr. Glaser continues to work closely with the Illinois Department of Health and the chief pharmacist. He also continues medical research and has co-authored multiple articles in the leading interventional pain management journal, “Pain.”
